What is a field sales executive?

A field sales executive, also sometimes referred to as a sales manager, is responsible for a variety of duties, including increasing personal sales by focusing on customer relationships and overseeing the work and sales goals of the rest of the team, according to Monster. Field sales executives may also be responsible for continually assessing current strategies and coming up with a plan to increase company-wide sales.

Sales executives also sometimes offer input into pricing and discounts and often conduct training for those new to the team, as stated by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This position also normally requires a very solid working relationship with the business marketing department.
