An example of a question about percentage is: "What percentage of 10 is 5?" To do the calculation on a calculator, first type "5", "/", and then "10". Then type "=". A decimal, "0.5", appears on the screen. Multiply the decimal to find the percentage by doing the following: type "x" and then "100". The percentage "50" appears on the screen. The answer is, "5 is 50 percent of 10."
