On Feb. 2, 2014, the Seattle Seahawks beat the Denver Broncos with a score of 43 to 8 in Super Bowl 48. This was the first Super Bowl victory for the Seattle Seahawks.

Near the end of the third quarter, the Seattle Seahawks led by a score of 36 to 0, and the Denver Broncos were never able to recover. Notable plays included an interception late in the first half, when a pass by Peyton Manning was intercepted by Seattle linebacker Malcolm Smith and returned for a touchdown, and the opening kickoff of the second half, which was returned for another touchdown by Seahawk Percy Harvin.
