Who is financial advisor Suze Orman?

Suze Orman is a best-selling author and the Emmy-award-winning host of "The Suze Orman Show" on CNBC. Forbes magazine listed Orman on its 2013 list of top 10 influential celebrities. As of 2015, Orman also is a contributing editor for O, The Oprah Magazine.

Orman's books include "You've Earned It, Don't Lose It" and "The Laws of Money, The Lessons of Life." Orman states that she began studying personal finance after losing $50,000 in risky investments. She sued Merrill Lynch over the loss and settled out of court. Orman became an investment broker in the early 1980s. She then became a guest speaker on radio and television programs.
