What are flight lessons?

Flight lessons are lessons that a person can take in pursuit of a pilot's license. Access to pilot training programs enables people to take flight lessons for personal travel advantages, while others want to engage in sport or recreational flying.

Specific program costs vary, but the typical cost for flight lessons to earn a license range from $4,000 to $7,000, as of 2014. A flight student normally has to fly for at least 40 training hours total to gain a license. After completing the requisite training, a person is eligible for certain types of certification based on the lessons taken.
