State parks and trails across Florida include Cayo Costa, Weeki Wachee Springs, Honeymoon Island, Ichetucknee Springs and Sebastian Inlet. The Florida State Park Service has an ongoing initiative to make as many parks as possible handicapped-accessible.
Cayo Costa is located near the city of Fort Meyers and is popular for fishing, kayaking, camping and snorkeling. Weeki Wachee Spring, north of Tampa, has remarkable natural springs and hosts underwater shows. Honeymoon Island is a popular destination for couples because of its quiet, secluded beaches. Ichetucknee Springs, near Gainsville, draws visitors who float the Ichetucknee River. Sebastian Inlet is popular among surfers and treasure hunters.
