Does Florida have tags?

As of 2014, Florida requires cars to have tags. Out-of-state residents must register their cars to obtain Florida tags within 10 days of having employment in Florida, placing their children in Florida public schools or establishing residency in Florida.

Out-of-state residents who wish to register their cars in Florida must first obtain a Florida driver's license. They may do so without taking a written or road test if they have a valid out-of-state driver's license. They must also have Florida car insurance, provide verification of the physical inspection of the vehicle identification number, and have the out-of-state title to the car.
