Are there Loblaws Supermarkets in the United States?

Loblaws Supermarkets are located throughout Canada. As of May 2015, there are no Loblaws Supermarkets or stores owned by Loblaw Companies Limited in the United States.

The first Loblaws was established in 1919 in Toronto, Canada by Theodore Loblaw and J. Milton Cork. Loblaw and Cork innovated grocery stores with a new idea. Customers were able to shop for their own groceries instead of the worker getting the items for customers.The stores were originally named Loblaws Groceterias. By 1928, Loblaws operated throughout Canada and in New York, Pennslyvania and Illinois. Loblaw Companies Limited operates multiple chains of stores such as No Frills, Valu-Mart, and Atlantic Superstore.
