As of May 2015, there are over 500 Little Caesars pizza shops in California. Little Caesars claims to be the world's largest carry-out pizza chain and has no tables and chairs for customers to dine in the restaurant.

The first Little Caesars location opened in Garden City, Michigan, in the Detroit metropolitan area in 1959. The chain is still owned by its founders, husband and wife Michael and Marian Ilitch and has its headquarters in downtown Detroit, where the company is constructing a new eight-story office building, slated to open in late 2016. The couple also owns the Detroit Red Wings hockey team.
