Pepsi is a cola that is sold in both cans and plastic bottles. The two standard bottle sizes sold in the United States as of 2014 are the 20-ounce size and the 2-liter size.

According to PepsiCo, during the Great Depression, a 6-ounce bottle of Pepsi sold for 5 cents. Pepsi made the switch from glass bottles to plastic in 1970 in response to customers' demand for a more lightweight bottle. In 2013, PepsiCo released a statement announcing that Pepsi would be adopting a completely plant-based, renewable PET plastic for its bottles in an effort to reduce the company's carbon footprint. According to MyFitnessPal.com, a 20-ounce bottle of regular Pepsi contains 250 calories.
