What are Ford F-150 recalls?

The 2014 Ford F-150 had recalls involving improper airbag suppression, brake light failure and loss of steering control. The 2012 model had recalls regarding the occupant classification system and illumination and backup lamp activation.

The 2011 Ford F-150 had illumination and backup lamp activation, transmission shift lever and body control module recalls. The transmission shift lever recall was due to the transmission's ability to be shifted out of park without pressing the brake pedal. The body control module recall was due to the software routine not reading the correct set of characters. The 2010 model had an interior door handle spring failure recall.
