What is Ford's A Plan?

Ford's A Plan is the company's employee discount purchase program for active Ford employees. The A stands for "Active," distinguishing it from the Z Plan for retired employees and the X plan for employees in certain Ford-related businesses and Canadian subsidiaries.

In addition to full-time employees, the A Plan extends pricing discounts to spouses, children and grandchildren of employees. Most surviving spouses are also covered by this plan if their spouses died while they were active Ford employees. A spouse's children from a previous relationship and a spouse's parents are also eligible for discounts under the A Plan, though the employee's own parents are not.
