Where is the Fort Campbell military base located?

The Fort Campbell military base is located on the border between Tennessee and Kentucky in between the towns of Clarksville, Tennessee and Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The base was originally established as Camp Campbell in 1942 as a wartime training camp during World War II.
The base is home to the 101st airborne division, the only air assault force in the U.S. Army. Fort Campbell is also the home to the Screaming Eagles parachute demonstration team. The Screaming Eagles team was established in 1984 and performs over 60 parachute demonstrations each year. The base also houses the Sabalauski Air Assault School. People working on the base pay taxes only in the state in which they live.
