What are the four gold coins with an eagle on the reverse side?
By Forinfos - 24/03/2025 - 0 comments
The American Gold Eagle is a gold bullion coin available in four sizes, with an eagle on the reverse side. They come in 1/10-, 1/4-, 1/2- and 1-ounce sizes. They have face values of $5, $10, $25 and $50, respectively.
Although American Gold Eagle coins have specified face values, they are worth more because of their intrinsic gold value. Primarily used as a way for investors to own gold, these coins are the United States' only official investment-grade gold bullion coin that is guaranteed to have the exact gold content, weight and purity specified. The American Gold Eagle was authorized in 1985, and was first minted in 1986.
