What are the four organic nutrients?
By Forinfos - 28/09/2025 - 0 comments
The four organic nutrients required by the body to function well consist of carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and fats. Nutrients are essential to the human diet and are required for growth, energy, repair of broken tissues, body organ maintenance and general body development.
Inadequate nutrients in the diet may lead to nutritional deficiency, which can be a risk to health. Human beings have a digestive system that allows these nutrients to be absorbed in the body. This happens through metabolism, where the food is broken down into energy and simpler substances. It is during this process that energy is stored for future use and growth of new cells occurs.
