What do frogs eat and drink?

Frogs eat crickets, beetles, spiders, flies, grasshoppers and many other types of insects. They also eat smaller frogs, ants and invertebrates. Frogs drink water, but not through their mouths. They absorb it through their skin.
Pet frogs need a variety of insects to eat. They prefer live insects to dead ones as it is the insect's motion that stimulates the frog to eat. Small breeds of frogs eat daily. Medium-sized frogs eat two or three times a week, while large breeds of frogs only eat once a week or less. Along with absorbing the moisture they need through their skin, frogs also take in extra oxygen with the water they take in.
