Garage door glass inserts are windows in a garage door that allow light to shine into the garage and provide aesthetic designs for the outside of the door. The inserts come in a variety of shapes and designs as well as material types.

Design options come in different shapes, including standard square panels, long panels and carriage panels, that can have multiple small panes or rounded designs. Materials for panel construction can include tempered glass, clear Lexan, solar bronze and insulated glass. Designs are also available in obscured versions that allow interior illumination, but inhibit outside visibility to help retain privacy.
