To determine if gas prices are increasing, check the gas price charts on GasBuddy.com. The chart tracks the average retail price of gas, as of July 2015.
Visit the GasBuddy.com home page, and click on Gas Price Charts. The chart has the average price of gas in the United States by default, but you can also select the average price in Canada or select a specific city in either country. You can set the chart for a time period ranging from one month to 10 years. The site allows you to compare gas prices in up to three different areas by viewing the average price for each area on the same chart.
