General Electric stoves are of good quality and rated among the most reliable, according to Consumer Reports. GE's selection of cooktops, ranges and wall ovens are among the most reliable, requiring fewer repairs than Kitchenaid or Jenn-Air brands.

Consumer Reports found that while GE's refrigerators are prone to needing repairs, the manufacturer's range of stoves and ovens are reliable. General Electric sold its appliance line to Swedish manufacturer Electrolux in September of 2014, and Electrolux has acquired the right to GE Appliances brands through a long-term licensing agreement with General Electric, so the GE brand still appears on the appliances it sells.
