Where is Armenia?

Armenia is located in southwestern Asia. Armenia is situated between the countries of Turkey to the west and Azerbaijan to the east. Other border countries of Armenia include Georgia and Iran.

Armenia covers a total area of about 11,500 square miles, making it a little smaller than the state of Maryland, and the 143rd largest country in the world. Armenia does not have any coastline, as it is a landlocked country. The capital and largest city of the country is Yerevan. Yerevan had a population estimated to be over 1 million people, as of 2011. Armenia has a total population around 3 million people, as of 2014.
