Where is Armenia located?

The Republic of Armenia is a landlocked country located in the Asian continent, between Europe and the Middle East. It borders Georgia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Iran.

The Republic of Armenia has no access to the sea and is a relatively small, mountainous country. It has ancient origins, but it was only declared independent in 1991. The country is often described as the getaway of Asia and the Middle East. It's located in a geographical area called "South Caucasus" or "Transcaucasia," in technical terms. This area takes its name from the Caucasus Mountains, a large mountain chain extending for much of its territory.
