Where is Beirut?

Beirut is located in the western part of the country of Lebanon in the Middle East. It's a coastal city on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Beirut is the capital of Lebanon and the largest city in the country.

Beirut is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the Middle East and includes a large population of both Muslims and Christians. Beirut is also a common tourist destination for those in the Arab world and Europe and, to a lesser extent, those in the Americas. Tourism is an important source of revenue and significant part of the local economy.
