NetState reports that the four geographic land regions in New Jersey are the Atlantic Coastal Plain, the Piedmont, the New England Upland and the Appalachian Ridge and Valley Region. There are different organizations that divide New Jersey into different regions for different purposes.
The New Jersey Future Business Leasers of America divides New Jersey into four regions: Northern, North Central, Central and Southern. Best of NJ divides the state into four regions: North New Jersey, Central New Jersey, South New Jersey and Jersey Shore. The New Jersey Visitors Network divides the state into six regions: Skyland, Gateway, Shore, Delaware River, Atlantic City Area and Southern Shore.
