Where is Kiev?

Kiev, the capital city of Ukraine, is located in the north-central part of the country, which is located in Eastern Europe. The Dnieper River runs through the middle of the city and eventually flows into the Black Sea, which is south of Ukraine.

As of 2013, the population of Kiev is 2.8 million, making it the largest city in Ukraine and the eighth largest city in Europe. The total area of the city is 324 square miles. Kiev is also one of the oldest cities in Europe, having been founded in 482. As of 2014, it's an important cultural and educational center of Eastern Europe.
