How do you find a map of the California fires?

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection maintains an updated, statewide map of current fires and listings of major incidents on its website. Visitors can view a map of current fires and click on fires on the map to read details about each fire.

Clicking on a fire brings up details that include the location of the fire, the percentage currently contained and the amount of acreage affected by the fire. The site also offers a link to a larger map with information on previous fires and links to contained fires, statistics, other fire-related information and contact information for the department.
