Where is Morocco?

Morocco is a country situated in northern Africa. Morocco lies between Western Sahara and Algeria. It is bordered by the North Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. The country is located to the south of Spain.

Morocco is one of only three countries in the world to have both Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines. The country covers a total area of about 172,000 square miles, making it a little larger than the state of California, and the 58th largest country in the world. The capital of Morocco is Rabat, while the largest city is Casablanca. Morocco has a population approaching 33 million people as of 2014, making it the 39th most populated country in the world.
