Where is Yosemite?

Yosemite National Park is in the mountainous region of the Sierra Nevada in California. The park covers nearly 1,200 square miles. It is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, however some areas are inaccessible due to snow from November through May.
No reservations are required to visit Yosemite National Park, however they are recommend if wishing to stay overnight. As of 2014, the park entrance fee for private cars, vans, pickup trucks or RVs is $20 and is valid for unlimited entries for seven days for all vehicle occupants. If arriving on foot, horseback, motorcycle or bicycle, the fee is $10 per person.
