What are some German beer mugs?

A German beer boot, such as the Hofbraeuhaus, is a whimsical German beer mug in the shape of a boot. Beer boots are made from clear glass and can hold up to 2 liters. A two pound glass beer mug, such as the Liesl stein, might feature an Oktoberfest design.

The German beer stein is made of stoneware and typically features a unique decoration on the outside of the mug. Beer steins also often have an attached decorative pewter lid, opened by a latch. Collectible beer steins are issued in limited editions.
