Why does a golf ball bounce so high?

By Forinfos - 05/04/2025 - 0 comments

A golf ball can bounce high because of the materials located inside the ball are generally made from rubber. The height a golf ball will bounce usually varies depending on how it was made.

There are other factors that can affect how high a golf ball bounces. A golfer who keeps golf balls in a pocket to keep them warm may be able to hit the ball further than someone who stores golf balls in the outside pocket of a golf bag. This is because rubber is not as flexible when it is cold, as the molecules inside a cold ball will collide with each other to dissipate kinetic energy and produce warmth rather than bounce.
