What are some good 4x4 Mercedes models?

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV is the only all-wheel drive Mercedes-Benz vehicle produced as of 2015 intended for heavy off-road use as a traditional 4x4 truck. However, all-wheel drive is optional on many of the manufacturer's sport utility vehicles, coupes and sedans.

Mercedes-Benz manufactures one of the few all-wheel drive vans in production as of 2015. The Sprinter cargo van has an optional all-wheel drive that enables limited off-road operation. While most Mercedes-Benz vehicles are more focused on luxury than off-road performance, the G-Class SUV is explicitly intended for off-road driving in the harshest conditions, including driving across shallow water safely.
