Some good cleaners for tile grout are water, vinegar and baking soda. Water is often the best item to use for cleaning grout on a regular basis, along with a stiff brush. Spray the grout with warm water, and scrub in a circular motion with the stiff brush. Do this frequently to keep the grout from having grime built up.
When water doesn’t do the trick, vinegar works well. This is a natural ingredient that helps clean the grout and leaves behind a clean, fresh smell. Make a cleaning solution in a spray bottle that is half water and half vinegar. Shake it to combine, and spray the solution on the grout. Let it sit for a few minutes, and then use the stiff brush to scrub the grout in a circular motion. Warm water works best for this mix.
Tough stains on tile grout require baking soda. Make a paste by adding some water to a container of baking soda. Place the baking soda paste on the problem areas of the grout, and then spray the vinegar solution on top. Let it sit for a few minutes so it can foam up. When it is foaming, scrub the grout clean, and rinse with warm water.
