What are some good colleges for marine biology?

Several schools within the United States offer degrees in marine biology including the University of Maine, the University of Hawaii at Manoa, College of William and Mary and the University of Texas at Austin. Some schools offer nothing more than a bachelor's degree, while others offer a PhD.

Students should remember that in order to be considered a marine biologist, they must earn a master's degree, at the very least. Many marine biologists earn their bachelor's degree in fields such as zoology or biology and from there, go on to earn their marine biology master's or PhD.

Other schools offering marine biology degrees include Alaska Pacific University, San Francisco State University, University of Tampa, Maine Maritime Academy and Bowling Green State University.
