What is a good communion prayer?

A communion prayer for the lifting of the cup, posted by Prayers for Special Help, says, “... we are lifting high the cross of Christ and proclaiming your great love. We partake, with gratitude, all the gifts that are ours in Christ crucified."

Communion prayer is often accompanied by a ritual eating of bread and drinking from a cup. As a result, many prayers for communion are separated into a prayer for the bread and a prayer for the cup. Communion represents the last supper of Jesus. The Bible indicates that Jesus instructed his followers to practice communion in remembrance of his crucifixion.
