What is a good hair loss treatment for women?
By Forinfos - 28/08/2025 - 0 comments
According to WebMD, hair loss treatments for women include minoxidil (Rogaine), androgen receptor inhibitors, estrogen and progesterone, oral contraceptives, ketoconazole (Nizoral), finasteride (Propecia or Proscar) and cyproterone acetate with ethinyloestradiol (Diane 35, Diane 50). Only Minoxidil is FDA-approved, and the others are used "off-label" for hair loss.
WebMD recommends that women seek treatment as soon as they notice hair loss so that destruction of any more hair follicles can be prevented. The effectiveness of any of these methods varies from person to person, and any effective treatment not only triggers hair growth but also addresses the underlying cause of hair loss.
