What is a good side dish for sloppy joes?

Sloppy joe sandwiches, made with ground beef and a tangy tomato sauce and served on sandwich buns, pair well with a variety of side dishes, including steamed fresh vegetables, seasoned oven-baked fries, coleslaw, tossed salad or pasta salad.

Steamed fresh corn combined with chopped red and green bell peppers, onions and some fresh cilantro can help enhance some of the flavors in the sloppy joe sauce. One can also try cutting baby red potatoes into quarters and boiling them until tender. Drain the water, and stir in a handful of chopped fresh parsley, a sprinkle of salt and pepper, and a pat of butter.
