Have Goodyear Viva 2 tires ever been recalled?

Goodyear Viva 2 tires have not been recalled, as of August 2015. There are no recalls listed on AutoMD.com or the US government's official site for automobile related recalls, Safercar.gov.

Although they have never been recalled, there have been 12 safety-related complaints made against the Viva 2 tires, as reported to Safercar.gov. Most of the incidents involved the tires' sidewalls failing under normal operating conditions at highway speeds. Ten of the complainants stated that they purchased the failing tires at a Wal-Mart location. Most reported that the tires were replaced by non-faulty tires, but a few say that the same failures occurred with the replacements as well.
