What is Google Plus?

Google Plus is a social networking platform released by the popular search engine company Google. The platform allows users to share news, photos and other content with friends and family members. It is an alternative platform to other social networking sites such as Facebook.

Many of the features of Google Plus involve linking a profile with websites such as YouTube and Picasa. Users can connect with their friends and family members, placing them in certain circles for sharing information. Google Plus was originally launched in 2011, with a select number of users being invited to test the site. It is now open for anyone to join.
