The U.S. Congress meets in the Capitol Building, which is in Washington, D.C. The building lies at the eastern edge of the National Mall and stands atop a small hill known as Capitol Hill.
The Capitol Building has two large chambers on the second floor where the congressional bodies meet. The House of Representatives meets in a chamber in the south wing, while the Senate meets in a chamber in the north wing. The building also houses the offices of congressional leaders, such as the Speaker of the House. It holds an impressive collection of art and sculpture dealing with American history as well.
