What are gravity flow racks used for?
By Forinfos - 14/02/2025 - 0 comments
Gravity flow racks are shelving units commonly used to organize and manage inventory in stores, warehouses and distribution centers. Gravity racks slant toward the front, with items loaded in the back. When warehouse workers take an item from the front, gravity forces the next item to slide forward.
Gravity flow racks allow for efficient management of inventory by making sure items are always within employees' reach. They are safer than traditional shelving because they separate frontline employees and forklifts used to stock merchandise. Gravity racks originally used nylon strips and several inclined runways, but now typically use polyethylene or aluminum roller tracks, as of 2015.
