What is the Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg?

The Great American Outdoor Show is an annual convention celebrating traditional outdoor sports such as hunting, fishing and archery. It is nine days long, and featured events include competitions and demonstrations.

Past events have included celebrity appearances by Jesse James and country duo Thompson Square. There are also activities for children, such as an air rifle range and a family fun zone.

As of August 2015, the Great American Outdoor Show is the largest event in the world for outdoor and consumer sports. Hosted by the National Rifle Association and presented by the Outdoor Channel, the convention is located at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
