A Green Bay Packers stock certificate is a document of ownership of the Green Bay Packers, an American professional football team based in Green Bay, Michigan. Green Bay Packers Inc. has been a non-profit, publicly owned corporation since 1923, according to the Packers' website.
Although the Green Bay Packers website refers to the stock to as common stock, it shares of the financial benefits common shareholders usually receive, according to CBS News.The stock is not tradeable, does not appreciate in value and pays no dividends. In addition, shareholders do not receive preferential treatment in regards to tickets or seating, but may attend an annual shareholder meeting.
