Are there greyhound tracks in Florida?

As of March 2015, there are 12 greyhound racetracks in operation in Florida. Racetracks include Hollywood Greyhound Park, Tampa Greyhound Track, Naples Fort Myers Greyhound Track and Ebro Greyhound Park. According to the state's law, the tracks must hold at least 100 races each year to keep their license to stay in operation.

Greyhound racing is a betting race in which greyhounds are raced around a track in chase of a lure, typically an artificial rabbit. In the United States, the dogs are turned out approximately four to six times a day, with each lasting between 30 and 90 minutes. Florida's original number of racetracks was 22, but the state has seen closures as interest declined.
