A GSA contract is a contract that the U.S. General Services Administration has with commercial firms for goods and services. GSA contracts with nongovernmental service and product providers so that it does not have to produce these goods and services itself.

The contracts are either on GSA's behalf or on the U.S. government's behalf. These contracts may involve simple products such as simple as pens and pencils or complicated endeavors such as cost-estimating services, engineering services, blast services and various construction services. GSA contracts can be for definite amounts of products or durations of service, or they can be open-ended, allowing the contracted party to complete a particular job or conduct research without a service time limit.
