Hagerty uses insurance value data from its large network of clients to help arrive at fair prices for collector cars. In addition, the company monitors transactions that involve classic cars such as auctions and dealer sales. Details from peer-to-peer exchanges are collected from voluntary participants. Experts analyze vehicle history, condition, optional equipment, amount of restoration, documentation and any other factors that can affect classic vehicle prices. Each car is then appraised individually and given an accurate value.
