What is a ham radio frequency chart?

A ham radio frequency chart shows ham radio operators in graphic form the specific frequencies and what type of operation, such as Morse code, voice, teletype and a variety of others, are allowed. Different rules apply depending on the type of license the operator holds.
Ham radio operators, or amateur radio operators, are allowed by law to use certain radio channels for experimentation and fun. Most countries in the world license amateur operators and specify what frequencies they are allowed to operate on. In the United States, there are currently three classes of license. The frequencies vary from below the AM broadcast band to shortwave to VHF/UHF between and above the allocations for TV channels.
