NeedleCrafter.com offers a free pattern library separated into 15 categories. Patterns are available for download as a JPG file. Patterns on this site range from simple alphabet patterns to detailed scenes for varying skill levels.

NeedleNThread.com offers several resources for needlework. It has a library of free patterns that are available in PDF format and allows users to scale the size of the pattern before printing. In addition to trim and decorative patterns, NeedleNThread offers alphabet patterns in six styles.

In addition to offering stitch techniques, FrenchKnot.com offers a library of free embroidery patterns. Patterns are available to either print or save as a JPG. Although patterns are free to users, the site does request donations.
