What happened to Cannon gas fires?

Cannon gas fires now fall under the Flavel brand, which in turn is part of the British Fire Manufactures group, BFM Europe. Although Cannon-branded gas fires are no longer available, Cannon cookers are manufactured by the Indesit Company UK Ltd.

Cannon started as a foundry in 1826 in Dudley, England, originally manufacturing iron stoves, grates, and cast iron pots and pans for domestic use. In 1895 Cannon produced its first gas cooker, and by the 1950s the company was one of the biggest manufactures of cookers and fires in the United Kingdom. Cannon was taken over by General Electric Company in 1964.
