What happened to Gleem toothpaste?

Gleem toothpaste was available in dollar stores around the country before it was finally discontinued by Procter & Gamble in 2014. The toothpaste was one of the most popular products throughout the 1950s and 1960s, and it is remembered because of its classic, well-known commercials and advertisements.

Gleem toothpaste's popularity drastically decreased after the '50s and '60s, when it was just as common of a household name as Crest or Colgate. Gleem was so popular because it was one of the first toothpastes that contained no sugar. Even though Procter & Gamble discontinued the brand name "Gleem," it still sells the same formula under the name "Crest Fresh and White," as of 2015.
