By Forinfos - 01/12/2025 - 0 comments
The torque specifications for Kawasaki KX 450F head bolts are 44 foot-pounds for the M10 bolts and 104 inch-pounds for the smaller M6 bolts. The cylinder head cover bolts have a specified torque of 87 inch-pounds.
The tightening, removal or replacement of the cylinder head bolts must always be done in the correct sequence to maintain uniform gasket pressure and precise mechanical clearances. In addition, molybdenum disulphide oil should be applied to the M10 cylinder head bolts. Specific instructions, including the proper sequence for removal, can be found online in section 5-21 of the Kawasaki KX 450F manual at ManualsLib.com.
