Where is the headquarters of the Colonial Bread Company?

As of 2015, the headquarters of the Earthgrains Baking Companies, formerly Colonial Bread Company, is in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1958, the company changed its name from the Colonial Bread Company Rainbow during a buyout and later to the Earthgrains Baking Companies. In 2001, Sara Lee acquired the company.

The Sara Lee Corporation spent $2.8 billion to purchase Earthgrains Baking Companies to help grow its business. During the acquisition, Earthgrains Baking Companies ranked as the second largest bread maker in the country. In 2011, Bimbo Bakeries finished the acquisition of Sara Lee for $959 million. Earthgrains Baking Companies still has the name of its products but operates under Bimbo Bakeries.
